FSO BERGEN—Our Programs

FSOBC employs Family Support Partners (who are caregivers/parents of children emotionally or behaviorally challenged) who offer assistance and support to families enrolled with Bergen’s Promise (Bergen County's Care Management Organization).

Peer to Peer Support

FSOBC provides forums, workshops, guest speakers and other special events that inform and empower families about their role in the parent/professional partnership

Education / Advocacy

FSOBC develops and maintains its presence with our local legislators, schools, and businesses to gain their support, to provide information, and to recruit volunteers and donations for the family and children with emotional & behavioral challenges.

FSO/CMO Strategic Planning

The FSOBC offers telephone support from to family members, and caregivers. We listen and offer advice, information, support, and referrals.

Warm Line

The FSOBC works directly with youth ages 14-21 who have been involved with the mental health, juvenile justice, or child welfare system. Youth Partnership provides a forum to share their experiences. The Youth Partnership members are committed to making a difference through community service.

Youth Partnership

The FSOBC hosts a support group for  families and caregivers each Monday and Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM until 8:30 PM. On site child care is provided.

Support Groups

FSOBC and Bergen’s Promise (Care Management Organization), Youth Case Management and the Children’s Mobile Response Stabilization System maintain a close relationship and meet frequently to discuss strategies and share information so that system partners continue to provide excellent service to our families.

Community Development

The FSOBC holds systems accountable through feedback on family issues, concerns, and suggestions.
