Mindfulness can be incredibly beneficial for parents of neurodivergent kids. In this workshop, we will practice some practical tools including breathing exercises, grounding techniques, body scan, movement, and much more.
Mindfulness tools can foster a sense of calm, emotional regulation, and improved communication between you and your neurodivergent child.
Lyzzette is a mom of two and a special educator for 16 years and counting. She believes being a parent and a special educator inspire her to stay connected to her true self - that is loving, whole and peaceful (our natural state). Yoga and mindfulness are tools and actions of self-care that she uses to cultivate this connection with herself so that she can mirror wholeness and peace to the children she serves - she can love them into loving themselves. She is currently a Yoga and Mindfulness teacher for neurodivergent children that range between the ages of 3 and 21 years old. With so much gratitude for the teachings she has received, she chooses to share what she has learned.
